Bringing structure to IT operations

Policy creation, asset lifecycle records, and vendor coordination grounded in practical organizational needs.

Governance

Document the standards.

Jonathan authored a comprehensive multipage document based on the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and established IT standards, policies, procedures, and SOPs. He worked with outside vendors on security controls and changes aimed toward HIPAA compliance readiness. This is governance and readiness work, not a claim of certification or achieved compliance.

Asset lifecycle

Make the inventory visible.

Using Smartsheet, he documented inventory and lifecycle information, identified missing or previously untracked assets, and improved the records and management process. His firsthand account describes substantial IT cost reduction, without an established dollar amount or percentage.

Vendor decisions

Match support to actual needs.

IT modernization work included bringing services in-house and coordinating migration work involving Azure, SharePoint, and RingCentral. Vendor evaluation led to in-house license management and event-based support in place of a full managed-service agreement.
